NASHVILLE – October 21, 2024 – Music City Chorus, the Nashville chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, is excited to invite the public to attend its 2024 Christmas concert entitled “Christmas Celebration! with Music City Chorus and Friends” on Sunday, December 15th at 6:00 pm at the Fisher Center for the Performing Arts at Belmont University.
The concert will feature the Music City Chorus (2022 International Barbershop Chorus Champions) and several chapter quartets performing a variety of Christmas songs arranged in the four-part barbershop style of harmony. As Chorus Director Dusty Schleier stated, “The Music City Chorus always looks forward to sharing our music during the holidays, and we’re privileged to have the opportunity to do so at the beautiful Fisher Center this year.” Concert tickets are on sale now at https://www.musiccitychorus.org/christmas-celebration-2024.
Music City Chorus recently competed in the Southeastern Harmony District’s fall convention and qualified to represent the District at the international barbershop chorus competition next July in Denver, CO in hopes of winning another international championship.

We are thrilled to announce that the Music City Chorus, an International Championship men's chorus from Nashville, TN, is hosting an incredible event on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 5:00 pm. Barberroo 2023 promises to be an unforgettable evening of close harmony and singing at its best, held at Vanderbilt University's Ingram Hall.
As a long-standing chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, we are celebrating 75 Years of Barbershop Harmony and A Cappella singing. We are excited to share our love for music with you and showcase the art of four-part harmony and a cappella singing.
The Music City Chorus, along with our quartets, will perform a variety of musical genres, all arranged in our signature barbershop style. You won't want to miss this spectacular event!
Tickets for general admission are $25, with discounts available for seniors, students, and groups. You can purchase your tickets below at early-bird rates or at the door on the day of the event. Don't wait too long though, as seats are limited, and this event is sure to sell out fast!

On July 9th at 1:30pm the Music City Chorus took the stage in Charlotte, North Carolina to compete in the 2022 Barbershop Harmony Society International Chorus Competition. We were so happy to be back on the big stage with our brothers and sisters in harmony. After months of preparation we felt more ready than ever to give a stunning performance.
We are absolutely elated to announce that our performance won us 1st place out of 37 choruses that competed. This is such a huge milestone for the Chorus. This is truly a dream come true. One of the most fulfilling pieces of barbershop is building a community and seeing people grow. Back in 2016 the Chorus took to the International Stage in Nashville, TN. We performed a song titled "Be The Hero" where a young man(Al) joined us as "The Hero". Last week we had the wonderful surprise of a not so young anymore Al stopping by rehearsal to say hi. The Music City Chorus took the stage with flare this past weekend! After a pandemics worth without hosting a Spring Show, we were determined to put on a spectacular showing. Over the pandemic, we had put together a number of virtual projects like, "Tonight, Tonight, "Bridge Over Troubled Water", and "Bells of Notre Dame". Needless to say, we couldn't wait to get out from behind a screen and sing these musical masterpieces live on stage for you all!
We also took our new streaming service on it's boat rockin' maiden voyage. Thank you so much to those who joined us virtually. For any of you that missed the show or would like to see it again, head over to streaming.musiccitychorus.org to watch it On Demand as well as other content that we will be posting throughout the year.

The Chorus had the pleasure of joining the rest of our District in Alabaster, Alabaster for the Dixie District Convention. It is the first convention to be held in 2 1/2 years. The performance on the District stage is the first step on our road to the International stage in July!

Congratulations to our wonderful seniors quartet cityScape!
They made the trip to Pasadena, CA to compete mid January and came home with a medal. These men are not only amazing performers, but absolute staples in our Choruses ongoing efforts for perfection. Well done!
